XP: Transition to crib

-->We currently co-sleep, but DS is just too mobile. He actually crawled to the foot of the bed this morning and fell off, head-first. Thank God he was okay... but it's time to move to the crib.

Any advice on how to make the transition smooth? Thanks!

    Does he nap in the crib?  We started with naps, then moved to putting DD down for the first stretch of night sleep in her crib.  Sometimes that would be only 30 minutes, sometimes longer...but when she woke we'd bring her to bed with us.  Then I set an arbitrary time of midnight (any wakings before that I'd put her back in her crib).  After she got used to that she stopped wanting to come back to bed with us at all and was in her crib full time.  All in all, I think it took us a couple of months to get there but it was really quite painless and a lot easier than I anticipated.  Good luck!
