Is this a question for the pedi???

C has his 2 week appointment tomorrow. Should I discuss my breastfeeding struggles/concerns with his pedi tomorrow? Have you discussed it with your child's pedi and were they helpful?? After we check his weight, that may factor in on what I decide to do. I feel awkward discussing BFing struggles with a male, but I know he is a professional and probably gets asked things like this a lot.

    I don't have an outside LO yet, but I would definitely discuss that with your pedi. At our pre-baby meeting thing, we discussed it for sure. And though he may not show you anything like a LC might, he might know tips or tricks to help. He may also just offer some much needed reassurance.

    My pedi was very helpful with BF. I mentioned how my left nip was very sore and cracked and she showed me a better way to help DD latch. My nip feels so much better - I am so glad that I brought it up.

    Even if he can't help, often if it's a larger practice they have a LC on staff or can at least recommend one. 

    My LO turns her head every which way except my boob and I mentioned it to the pediatrician.  So she asks me to show her -- ya, of course like when you take a car to a mechanic... absolutely no problem.  Hopefully your "fix" is that easy.
