Scheduled induction turned natural birth! :-)

As many of you know I had hoped for a natural birth for my whole pregnancy but at my February 14th appointment (my due date was 10 days earlier on the 4th) due to low AF levels and how far past due I was my doctor and I decided that it would be best to induce my son the following day (the 15th). I was bummed, but obviously cared most about his safety and agreed to be induced the following morning at 7:30.

Well, apparently Jack didn't want to be induced any more than I did. At 11:30 pm on the 14th I woke up in labor! I labored at home until 6:00 am then went to the hospital, was admitted, and was able to have the natural birth I had wanted. Smile Jack was born at 2:49 pm on Tuesday the 15th. He was 8 lbs 10 oz and 20 inches long.

The labor and birth are kind of a blur, it was definitely exhausting, hard, and painful, but my husband and the nurse were very supportive and it was totally worth it to have this perfect baby.

Oh Yay! I'm so happy you were able to get the birth you wanted (and wow, so close to your time of induction--way to go Jack!). Congrats! Can't wait to see a photo!
