Calista is one of my guilty pleasure names. I love it! I think it works with either of your mn options.

I am not a fan at all of Kestrel, Catriona or Claudia.

I really like Calista a lot!! And Claudia has always intrigued me...it's actually quite an old name and I think it's pretty. The others aren't really my cup o' tea.

I LOVE Claudia!! So so so so much!! I think it's extremely underused.

Because the FN end in an -uh sound while the MN (Alexandra) starts with a different A sound, it think this is one of the cases where the names do not smoosh.

Big thumbs up to both Claudia and Bridget. Love!

I like Gwen if it's a nn for a longer name like Gwendolyn.

Calista is just ok.

I dislike Kestrel and Catriona. Very much.

I really like Gwen I think it is a great name throughout all stages of like. I don't like Kestrel because it is the name given to birds that fall within the falcon family...so it makes me think of a falcon

Calista: I like it. It's underused and beautiful.

Gwen: I like Gwen as a nn for Gwenyth, Gwendolyn, Guinevere, but not alone. What about Quinn?

Kestrel: No. Just no.

Kestrel and Catriona look like you are trying way too hard and I just don't like the way they sound. Not really a fan of Callista either, but I don't hate it.

I vote for Claudia, Gwen or Bridget. I think they are all really strong names. Bridget has sort of a cute factor, Claudia has sort of intellectual vibe and Gwen is a good combination of the two styles.

OK, I vote Gwen.

Catri-what? Um, no. And Kestrel sounds like castor oil. Please no, on both of these. Of the others, probably Calista or Bridget are my faves, but none of them are really great.
