anyone try preggo pops or ginger candy

I'm wondering if either of these items help nausea.  I'm desperate and will try just about anything medically approved!

(I JUST TRIED GINGER WONDER SYRUP. I POURED IT IN HOT WATER AND MADE TEA. WITHIN SECONDS, I FELT RELIEF!  I GOT THE SYRUP AT WHOLE FOODS, BUT I'M SURE U CAN FIND IT ANYWHERE... JUST MAKE SURE TO CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR.  ALTHO IT SAYS ON THE LABEL: CLINACALLY SHOWN TO SAFETLY REDUCE NASEA IN PREGNANCY)

Re: anyone try preggo pops or ginger candy

  • I have the Preggo Pops. They do work. I don't like the suckers as much as the candies. The sour lemon and cherry ones are really good.

  • I tried Preggie Pops for a little while, and they provided temp. relief. Nothing long-term.
  • The preggo pops didn;t help my nausea, but they did get rid of the constant sour taste I had in my mouth.

the ginger (both crystalized and ginger chews) settled my stomach very well. Ginger tea helps too.

  • I've tried the preggo pop drops.  some of the flavors are gross.  The thing is, not spacifically the pops in general, sucking on hard candy ceases some cases of nausea.  I thought that peppermint mints worked great!
  • WHAT!!!!??? what are preggo pops and why haven't I heard of them before?  where do you get them and what flavors are best?  i have been sucking on blow pops and they do ok.  I am just desperately searching for the miracle cure. wishful thinking i know :)
  • I just ordered $40 worth of candy!!!!!!  again, i'm desperate!Ick!

  • I used preggo pops with my first pregnancy, they seemed to work...I think lemon drops work just as well and are less expensive...

I got mine at Motherhood Maternity (not sure if youhave that store in the US - I am in Canada). They did work as a temporary relief - and they help with the dry mouth. I have an aversion to food in general right now, so I am not really eating them anymore, but they were great early on for me. The lemon ones are the best (IMO) but lemon is a natural anti-nauseant anyway so any lemon candies would probably work. I find sour keys work sometimes too!

  • i have crystallized ginger w/ me at all times.  it definitely takes the edge off when i need it.  i also had some peppermint tea one night & it was amazing.  the warmth of the tea was relaxing & soothing & the peppermint calmed my stomach.

also try (if you haven't already) sea bands. u should be able to get them at any pharmacy.  they're for motion sickness, but work great for nausea.  b/w 8 & 10 weeks i wouldn't have eaten much at all if it weren't for them.  although they do get a bit irritating after a while.  still worth it though.

i have yet to find preggo pops near me.  good luck!
