My SIL watched Allie for me yesterday. She called this morning to tell me that she found blood in Allie's stool the one and only time she pooped yesterday. She said it was bright red and kind of mixed throughout, but there was enough that it was readily apparent. I told her I would keep an eye on it.
Allie pooped a few minutes ago for the first time today and there was no blood. She's pretty much a once/maybe twice a day pooper so it will take awhile to see if it happens again.
I'm in the camp of just keeping my eye on it and seeing what happens over the next few days rather than call the pedi (I know they won't do anything without a stool sample anyway). However, I've recently been accused by a family member of being a bad parent for not taking illness seriously enough and letting Allie ride it out too often, so that's weighing on my mind as well. What would you do?

Sounds like someone needs a big slice of nunyabiznass pie.
More like a throat punch, but that's a different story.

I agree with Drs. Kristen and Google.
