I make most of the food but buy some so LO has pretty much tried it all in terms of fruits/veggies and also cereals (rice, oatmeal)
what can the next step be? what kind of other foods have you started making./buying? or should we stick to veggies/fruits/cereals for now.
Re: After trying most of the fruits/veggies - what are you doing now?
yogurt, chicken, pasta
I make all my food (except the yogurt). I buy plain yogurt and mix fruit or veggies with it to add flavor.
I'm making chicken and brown rice right now actually.
I'm baking the chicken and sweet potatoes and made brown rice according to the package. I just drizzled a little bit of olive oil on the chicken so it doesn't stick to the pan. Once all is cooked and cooled a little bit I'll roughly chop the chicken and sweet potatoes. Then I'll put 1 cup of chicken in the food processor with 1/2 cup of sweet potatoes and 1/4 cup of brown rice. I'll add water if I need to thin it out. I will probably freeze half of it as is and the other half add some apple puree to try something different.

lol... sorry.
Try adding water to the chicken puree until you get the desired consistency. Also add apples or another fruit or vegetable to change the flavor of it. I personally don't like plain chicken either so sweeten it up a little and try again.
I really like the Sprout baby food. We're on to trying Stage 3s because they're chunky. I think last night he ate some "Beef & Veggie Lasagne" and when you look at it, it looks like I squished a plate of lasagne with a fork and then gave it to him. They have a bunch of flavors and they're all organic.
He can't eat more than 1/4 of the package at a time because it takes him so long, but I feed him that with some easier things like pears & soft carrots...
I have a fantastic book called First Meals by Annabel Karmel;
Last night I made Leek, spinach, parsnip and potato puree - DD loved it and it is something that I would never think to make myself. There are a ton of great recipes from the first purees all the way to fun toddler meals and more!!
It even has a menu so you can be sure that the LO's are getting a wide range of vitamins!
