moms of 2 year olds..

Do I switch to 2% milk now?  What else changes at 2?

Re: moms of 2 year olds..

  • I was wondering about 2% milk the other day!  Andrew goes to the pedi in a few weeks for his 2 yr adjusted appt so I'm going to ask about it!

  • I'm no help with this one - we only drink whole milk.

Only change I can think of is that they're old enough for the chewable tylenol. Woohoo.

  • I'm no help either. We are still drinking whole milk as well (at 3.5 and 1.5). It is just easier to keep them both ob whole. Plus Elliott is on the small size for his age, so the extra calories and fat are doing him good. Sara :)

  • We switched to 2% at 20 months because my baby is now a giant.  I don't know of any other changes though.

  • We've always been on 2% because the whole milk gave her diaper rash.

  • I think milk is right.  And then I think the meds you can give them change from infants to children's.  I think.

  • We switched the milk, although I think she wouldn't hurt having whole milk since she's so tiny.  We also introduced peanut butter at that point.  I held off because of the possibility of allergy since one of my cousins kids has one.  I think we waited until she was 2 for strawberries too, because of my own allergies.
  • Our pedi actually told us to work our way down to skim if he'd drink it, or 1% if skim didn't work.  He doesn't seem to mind the 1% so I'm just going to stick there.
