Spotting

So, I had the HCG shot on the 3rd of this month, and supposed to take a HPT on the 18th to see if worked. My dr has me taking prometrium, which I thought stoped your period. But today I started spotting some, which is mostly pink/brown with some red. Could this be implation bleeding or just AF starting.. Has anyone ever had this??
