I had my baby! Long birth story

Because of my high blood pressure, I had a induction set for Feb 14th.  We came in at midnight Sunday and started the pit.  I was only about 1/2 cm and very high.  So, we went thru the day getting pit going and by the end of the day I was finally in pain..  When they checked me again, there was NO change.. So they let me rest and eat dinner and started cervidil that night.  We restarted the pit Tues morning.  The baby's heartbeat was really high on my body, so they started to worry that he might be head up (something you would have thought about checking before putting me thru 2 days of pit)  So we got a sono and his head was down.  But when they checked me again around 2:30, I was only barely 2 cm and still VERY high.. so Doc said we prolly won't progress much more and should do a c section.  I was pretty scared.  We had it all set up to get done at 4;30pm that day.  Everything went decent, other than I got sick a few times and they got our 10lb 11 oz baby boy out of me (No wonder he wouldn't drop and no wonder I had high blood pressure!!)  He was 20.5 in long also.. Biggest baby here.  They put him by my face and then DH carried him into the NICU to get checked out.  He was having some issues with his respiratory rate, it was too high, so they wheeled my whole bed into the NICU after recovery so I could see him.  I was finally able to hold my baby yesterday night for the first time.  Hopefully today we can start feeding him (right now he just has an IV) and soon he will be able to be in our room with us.  Sorry if this is kinda all over, but I just wanted to give an update.  Thanks :)   Will post pic later
