  Up until 37 weeks I had gained a total of 7lbs. Then I gained another 2 in one week. (not 6 but more then my usual) I think the closer you get to the end, the more blood in your body, the more water retention and with bed rest I'm sure that's not getting flushed out as it would if you where moving around. Even if you haven't had a ton of swelling your body is growing. I doubt you'll be crazy huge at the end of your pg. Especially since you hadn't gained that much to begin with.

  I knwo my friend told me with her 2nd that she would go for a monthly appointment and not have gained anything and then the next month gained like 14 + lbs. Everybody is different.

  good for you!  i'd have to go back and look in my blog....but i think 24 or 25 weeks i gained 5lbs in ONE WEEK!!!  i too had only gained like 8 or so total up to that point!  i was sure it was because of not moving on bedrest.  Doc gave me a high five and said "good job, baby needs it"....while i was freaking out. 

  After the u/s....she came in and told me how massively backedup and consitpated i was!  (she could see it on the u/s).  i had no idea!  the next weeks check up i was DOWN 4lbs!!  i couldn't believe it...i hadn't changed a thing eating wise!  BUT her consitpation remedy had worked earlier that week....and well...i told her i was pretty confident that that 4lbs is in the toilet

  if you've only gained 7 so far...you are still way under!  don't worry about it girl!  that little babe is on the grow (mine gained 8oz in two weeks!).  its a good thing!
