Hi ladies, had to adjust for a few days before sharing with you all my surprising story. On wednesday night I started having some mild cramping around 2am. I didn't think much of it for 2 reasons. First, from 1-10 the pain was like a 3 and secondly, normally when I am on my feet more then usual I get crampy at night when I go to bed and it usually subsides after an hour or so. Well, the cramping was a constant thing for a few hours, and after realizing that by 6am the cramping had not gone away but it also did not get worse or better, I decided to call the nurse and just tell her that I started cramping at 2am. She tells me to monitor for an hour then get back to her. After an hour "home nurse" calls me sounding really concerned and tells me I had 11 contractions and asks me how I feel. I told her the contractions were nothing new but that I had mild cramping. She tells me to contact my OB office, I tell my nurse at OB the # of contractions in an hour. She gets a hold of my doctor and she tells me to go to hospital to get checked out. At this point I wasn't worried, nor did I think I was NOT coming back home that thursday morning from the hospital. I get to triage, my doctor is there waiting for me. She checks my cervix and once again, like the past few weeks my cervix is closed. She tells the triage nurse to monitor me for 2 hours and see if anything changes in the first hour. As soon as my OB left triage, my contractions got soo bad just like that! I started contracting every minute, and by the first hour I dialated 1 cm! I was like WTH?? They called my doctor and told them the status and then tells me I was in active labor. At that moment that's when I started getting nervous and worried. Hubby is in there with me and calling everyone and tell him we may possibly have the boys that day. Nurse tells us we are gonna have a c-section that day, and that it was at 2 hours from when they told us the babies would be born! I did not whatsoever wake up that morning and think to myself "I'm having these babies today" I was not mentally prepared I guess, but I was super scared of the operation. Landon Alexander was born at 1:38pm weighing 6 lbs 9oz and Sean Evan was born a minute later weighing 6 lbs and 6oz. Both healthy baby boys who did no NICU time and got to come home with me on the 4th day. The recovery however, has to be the most painful thing I have ever experienced in my life but after he 2nd day in the hospital I realized my best friends were my percocet, dulcolax suppositories and gas x. Ladies, for those who are still pregnant, it was the suppositories that allowed me to poop on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th day I was there and I am so blessed I was able to do so. Also, for the gas pains which are the most painful thing in the world, they gave me ginger tea and OMG that thing worked so good, AFTER I walked. Oh yeah, I was pretty much unable to move until the 3rd day but after they made me walk up and down the hallway, I was able to alleviate a lot of gas, so walk walk walk no matter how much it hurts bc that's what will make the swelling and presure of the belly go down. It's gonna be a week tomorrow I've had them and I am finally able to shower on my own and do little things like take care of my boys, hold them, and change them which i couldnt do in the hospital. I felt like a sorry @$$ mother and it made me really sad. But now I can b/c I took your advice ladies, I take my percocet around the clock, and although I don' like the side effects, I rather have it then the pain and being unable to care for my babies. I will try to attach a picture below but not sure if it'll work b/c I noticed the site changed a little bit. I will be coming back around and def with a lot of questions for you guys! Thanks for all the advice b/c I did take it!

Re: Birth story *long*
Videos of telling my family and husbands family that we are preggo...with twins!
Congratulations!! I looove your boys names (my boys first names are Evan and Landon
) ! Reading your story brought back the memories of those rough first few days, anyone I know who is having a c-section, I tell them - make sure your husband goes and buys you some gas-x, you will be popping those things like candy.
Do not feel like a bad mom, the c-section recovery is rough! My babies were in the NICU and I had a hard time even standing next to their isolettes let alone changing them etc. in the first couple of days. Don't forget to take care of yourself too and let your body recover, take care!
Congratulations! Great weights and they are adorable!!!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Oh my goodness they are perfect! Such great news that they were both able to come home with you--what a relief, huh?! They have great weights, too!
Thank you for telling us pregnant ladies what helped in those first few days--so sorry you were in that much pain. Its only going to get better!
