This Be Band is a joke right?

I mean, it's a wadded up piece of fabric around my waist right now.  How the heck is it supposed to hold up my pants?  I did what you guys suggested, and have it folded down over the top of my pants.  But the bottom has rolled up over my hips, and the top has rolled down under my belly, so I basically have a rubberband around my gut.  This is ridiculous.  And I got a size s/m so surely it's not too big, I'm a size 10!  It's not too small, that's for sure.

  • I HATE the Be Band! I would suggest getting some stretchy pants until you're in maternity. I totally agree though... it is uncomfortable, hot, and just kind of sucks.

  • Yeah that would be nice if I didn't have to dress up for work every day.  I'm so jealous of those who can live their pg out in yoga pants and leggings.  Until it's warm enough for dresses and skirts, I have to wear slacks and dress pants :(

  • i hated mine.  i ended up using a rubberband on my pants until i needed maternity.

  • Mine works just fine! I just make sure to put it on first and have it low enough then pull my jeans up and fold the top where half of it is folded over. Didn't move at all.

  • This is exactly why I've decided against bebands, I've heard too many bad reviews about it rolling up and not doing it's job.

This.  I use a lot of rubber bands! - yes, already, I can't believe it and I'm sure it's just bloat, but it's official and I can no longer button any of my pants!

This is exactly what I did.  No go.  I hadn't even left the house before it was in a knot around my waist.

  • I actually loved mine. It rolled in the back occasionally, but did it's job well. I even wore it for a bit postpartum until I could get back into my pants. I did notice that it worked better with pants that had a higher rise - too low and my butt got in the way and caused it to roll more.

This is me too.  I was just complaining to DH this morning that I wanted to wear stretchy pants to work today, or that I wish it was summer so I could at least wear a skirt without needing tights.  I used a hair elastic on my jeans last night, but I'm not sure how to rig that on my dress pants.  For now, I have two or three pairs of dress pants that still fit without being super tight, but I can see that coming to an end in another couple of weeks.

Thanks for the heads up about the Be Band!

  • I'm wearing mine for the first time today, and I'm loving it! It hasn't rolled or scrunched once, and I'm so much for comfortable with my pants unbuttoned! I got mine from Motherhood Maternity and they were "one size fits all" - it's actually called the Tummy Sleeve from there? Anyway, I'm hoping this keeps me out of maternity pants for as long as possible...hubby basically thinks they are the ugliest things on the planet! :)
  • i hated them...tried two. never fit right at all. i use elastics instead.

  • I LOVE my beband.  I am a size 8, and I too have the s/m.  If I sit down, then it might roll up, but I usually just go somewhere discrete, fix it, and go back on my way.  It's soo helpful to not have to button the buttons on jeans.  I am sorry you are not having such good luck!  I have never been a dress girl, but am excited for spring/summer so I can start wearing them!

  • I got the Bella Band and got a size 2, which roughly translated is a large. I am around a size 10 and also have to dress up for work every day. So far, it's wonderful. It's never scrunched at all. But maybe different body shapes make it do different things? And maybe since mine is a different brand? Not sure but I'm sorry yours isn't working :(

This is exactly the same for me.  I don't think I do it like pp though (amandaloren?).  I put my pants on first, and pull it down over my pants then fold over.  So I techically have two layers of it over my pants and it just folds at maybe belly button height?  I don't know if I'm describing this right or not, but that's what I do and it seems to work great for me!

  • If it's rolling like that, it's too small. Get the m/l.

    So far I love mine.

  • I wore mine twice before tossing it in the Goodwill pile. I *hated* it.

I just went ahead and made the leap into maternity pants. Still didn't technically need them, but they were SO much more comfortable than that awful Be Band.

  • I wore mine once. I constantly felt like my pants were going to fall down.  It's now sitting in the back of my closet guaranteed to not get any more use.

  • I have worn mine a few times and it was amazing. I fold it over because otherwise it almost covers my boobs, I'm short so it covers from hips to the underside of my bra. The only problem I ran into was when I wore it with layered shirts, the re-positioning of it and pulling a camisole and shirt over it and keeping them all in place was the annoying part. But when I wear it with just a tee over top I think I could do cartwheels and it wouldn't budge.

I think the rolling of the band is because it is too small. Just think, if you were wearing a too-small stretchy tank top it would keep riding and rolling up and you would constantly have to pull it down and adjust...
