Well, that was scary :-(

I've not been feeling too great, but thought it was just a bad head cold. I made an appointment yesterday to see my PCP at 4:15. Then, last night I spiked a fever of 101 and called my OB. She had me take Tylenol and a lukewarm shower. My fever broke around midnight last night so the plan was just to see my PCP as scheduled.

I slept all day long and then went to the doctor at 4:15. I didn't have a fever but my puls ox was 93 and my heart rate was 127. My PCP called my OB and they decided that I needed to go to the ER as a precaution. So, my mom picked me up from the PCP and I called DH at work to meet us there.

I got a chest x-ray and a breathing treatment. My puls ox went back up to 100 and my heart rate dropped to 104. They also put me on a fetal monitor to watch the baby's heartbeat. It got a little high (179) after my breathing treatment but went back down to 159 a few minutes later. My x-ray was also clear so they decided to go ahead and discharge me. I got a prescription for an inhaler and was told to take it easy until I'm feeling better.

Thankfully the baby seems just fine, but it was rather scary!! Guess I'll be taking more time off of work, though I don't really have the time to take...unpaid maternity leave for me!!
