c section question

Hi ladies, can one of you possibly answer this question?

When can I take a bath after a c-section?  I had my appt. yesterday, but I completely forgot to ask this!

    I think after your 6.week follow up. They told me not to get my incision soaking wet and even when showering not to stand facing the water
    DD(9)DD(5.5)DS(3)DS(born 2/1/11) July 2006, lost a baby at 8 weeks, natural miscarriage , May 2009 lost Zoe Eliana at 17 weeks no reason known, possible under developed organs. Lost two more babies in September 2009 at 7 wks 4 days. Had myomectomy surgery to remove a large fibroid in November 2009.

    Darn, I have really been wanting to take a bath. My back has been killing me from the epidural. :( Thanks so much!

    My back hurt for 3 months after my c-sec because of the spinal. I used a heating pad all the time

    I was told 6 weeks before any bath or swimming due to the fact your uterus is still 'open' and you could get an infection. However unlike one of the pp said my dr said to shower as normal and make sure to let the water run on the incision in the shower.

    I could take a bath after my 3 week follow up last time but before then I had to shower and blow dry my incision afterwards.

    my discharge papers say not to take a bath for 2 weeks. i have my incision check tomorrow so i will ask & repost on here tomorrow. i am dying to take a bath myself!!

    my doctor said this too & so did the nurses at the hospital.
