Moms who have double strollers...

I've decided that I want a side by side stroller instead of a front and back stroller.  We currently have a single Combi that Eli loves so I'm leaning towards the double Combi.

It is really light and under $200.  The bad side is that it won't hold a car seat, but the seat fully reclines so an infant can ride.

While in Disney, a Mom was going on and on about her City Mini.  We tried it at the store but it seems a little small for my giant 2 year old BUT then I saw tons of bigger kids in them at Disney.

Does anyone have either of them?

 Last post, I promise!

  • I have the City mini and another friend with 3yo twins has it too.  my boys and her twins love it.  I will get the attachment for it so the new baby can use one side and the boys can take turns walking.

  • I have a city mini and it's great. I have a really tall just-turned 3 year old and that was one of the deciding factors. It accomodates a tall kid (more than the Bob). It's super lightweight and easy to fold, plus the tires will never go flat. The storage basket kinda sucks, so I have stroller organizers I put on the handlebars. I really like this stroller and have found it's very convenient for me. The sunshades are nice and the recline is super easy to do.

  • I bought a used Combi and it's great for certain things.  I used it for quite a bit for quick trips into Target, grocery store, etc where the size wasn't an issue.  It's super easy to fold and unfold and relatively compact in the car.  The baskets are pretty much useless though.  It's got a bunch of wheels so it's not the greatest on non-pavement or even rough pavement.  If I go to the zoo or other real outing, I use another stroller (I have a Phil and Ted's Sport).  If you're planning to use the stroller for walks, zoo, park, etc, I'd definitely go with the Baby Jogger.  If it's just for quick errands, the Combi would be fine.

I have the Combi too and agree. It's nice for going to the mall or grocery store but not so much for walks. Sometimes I feel like it's going to fold in half if I hit a rough patch of sidewalk. I plan on getting something else for outdoor adventures but I'm waiting a bit since it was a gift from my mom.

  • I just got a few weeks ago the baby jogger city micro and it was $199 at albee baby.  I think I read somewhere that you can buy the adapter for it for a car seat.
