I decided when my RE's office jacked up my IUI this cycle that I was changing to a different office that has a better reputation. I've been scurrying around getting everything ready for my appointment with the new clinic next week and on today's list was calling to get a copy of my HSG films so that I could hand-deliver them to the new place.
I call them up, get put on hold, finally talk to a person who informs me they cannot find my films. #Blank Stare# Are you effin' kidding me?? They are going to "look some more" but if they don't produce them by tomorrow I am going to lose my sh*t on them. Not only do I not want to have the procedure again, I don't want to PAY for the procedure again. I have limited IF coverage and I'm already worried about reaching my lifetime max.
WHEW!! Sorry for that word vomit but I feel better getting that off my chest.

LOL and thanks!
The lady on the phone's exact words were "Well, I see where you had it done, and I see the report of findings, but there are no films here." Thank God I was at my desk at work or else I would have had a few choice words for her.

Did you have it done at the REs office or did you have it done at a hospital? My OB did my HSG and when I had my files faxed to the RE the doctor?s office only sent the report. I had to go to the hospital to get the films on CD. Maybe that's why they don't have them.

Dude, WTF?!? How can they just lose them??? I would have lost my cool on the phone.
(and yes, I say dude alot...I need to stop that!)
MrsVo you crack me up! I'm sorry to be laughing, but your descriptions are hilarious. I hope they get their crap together so you can move on with a competent Dr's office.
ETA: my first statement about you cracking me up is even truer after taking a peak at your blog! I love your sarcasm and spunk!

I applaud you. I would have lost it on them the 1st time they told me they lost the films (assuming that they would have double and triple checked before telling me such a thing).
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that they turn up.
Sounds like you probably made the right choice in switching offices. Hopefully you will have an easier time dealing with the new office.

That is a loaded question, LOL. The RE I was seeing is part of a large hospital. The HSG was done in the imaging center in the same facility. I called the RE's office and was transfered to the imaging center where the a$$clown told me they couldn't find my films. Arrrggg!!!

Sorry about all the quotes. I don't know how to multi-quote.
I'm going down there tomorrow and I'm not leaving until they produce my films. I don't care if I have to go digging through the files myself!!!!
