Cincinnati Babies

Would you buy this (weird product PIP)

Some ladies at work shop the LTD catalog and one of them passed it to me today and told me I should but this item for CJ. Its basically a book where you keep a record of your child's lost teeth. To be honest, it creeped me out! Would you buy this? What do you do with lost teeth anyway? Throw them away I'd guess....

  • I may keep Zac's first baby tooth... but as far as saving all of them?

    No thanks.

My mom didn't do it, and so far I like to follow her lead. When my MIL whipped out a jar of DH's baby teeth I cringed.

  • Ok I am weird.  I put each tooth he lost in a sealed envelope with the date on it.  They are somewhere in the house....

  • I don't have all of them, but I have a baby food jar with alot of my teeth in it. Don't ask me what in the heck I will ever do with them, but they are in a baby food jar, in a box that has all of my childhood 'stuff'.

I'm a total freak about keeping stuff so I will probably keep every tooth and then my kid can call me a freak and throw it out when they are older!

  • i will probably keep dd's first tooth that she loses...but that's it.  i think it is creepy, but that's just me.  i think i am in the minority here though.  the thought of having a tooth box...full...of...teeth...gave me the chills.

  • I'm with TTT.   Ick!   Especially with them displayed like that.  I know my mom has all of my teeth and my sister's too, but I don't see keeping DD's.
  • Um, no.  Pass on that.  Call me un-sentimental but, I'm not one to save biological material.  Ick.
  • My mom kept all of my teeth and handed them over in a giant box of crap a while back. They were the first thing I threw out.

I can see keeping ONE, maybe taping it into the baby book or something, but the whole idea is icky. That and my teeth all had to be pulled (well, all except two), so they were huge and nasty.

  • This kind of reminds me of that scene in the "Meet the Fockers" movie, where it's discovered that his parents saved the, um, souvenir from his circumcision.  Indifferent

I don't think I will keep any baby teeth.  I just don't see the point.

I do, however, still have the positive pregnancy test sticks from both of my boys.  That's probably a hell of a lot more disgusting, but they're more sentimental to me......I can't bring myself to throw them away even though I know no one but me will ever want them.
