GD mamas ... when do you test for fasting?

I was curious. Do you test as soon as you get up in the morning? Do you wait until just before you eat breakfast?

What's your morning routine like?

I get up brush my teeth go to the bathroom wash my hands then test my blood. I am usually eating breakfast on my way out the door or bringing it and eating it at work so it is probably about a half hour to 45 minutes before I eat breakfast.

I have only been testing for about 2 and a half days but I have had good fasting numbers! 89 and 84 (I neeed to be under 95).

I always tested while I was cooking my eggs for breakfast. Usually only about 5-10 minutes before I ate.

I test as soon as I get up in the morning, before getting DD out of bed. I've heard that it doesn't matter exactly when you test, as long as it's consistent from day to day.

Testing is the first thing I do in the morning right after peeing. I need to give myself insulin about 15-30 minutes before I eat. So then I shower, get dressed and then eat.
