Should I be worried about a cervix length of 3 cm? She didn't say anything about funneling, so I assume it's closed. All the dr told me was that it was "okay" but they will keep checking it every month.
Do you know what your baseline length is? If this is your first cervical check 3cm might just be your typical length.
My baseline is 3.5cm and I've started to funnel open just a little (almost 3cm still). With my twin pg it was down to 1.9cm at 23wks. So, we're keeping an eye on it, and I try to take it easy, but no bedrest. GL!!
This was my first measurement (at 25 weeks), so I don't have a baseline to compare it to right now. I have another appt on Monday though, so I'm hoping for good news.
At 22 weeks, they found mine to be 2.5 cm, it dropped to 2cm, and funneled open to 1.8 - but I'm back to 2.5 now, and on modified bedrest. My OB would be ecstatic with 3cm, so as long as they keep an eye on it, you should be a okay! Take a deep breath!

Mine was 2.8 at 6 weeks, I'm being checked again in a week and a half. Anything below 2.5 I will be on bedrest. My Dr said she would be happy if mine were 3. Good luck!
Re: cervix length
My doctor said they hope that mine says above 3 cm, for now at least!
I think you're ok but T&P that it doesn't shorten!
A general rule is less than 2.5cm, prior to 24 weeks is cause for concern.
