what you were having? My doctor seems to think he might be able to tell @ next weeks ultrasound...I'll be about 12 weeks...this seems much too early to me, I haven't heard of anyone finding out before the 20 week ultrasound!
They can GUESS at the NT scan, but if you go to this site: https://www.baby2see.com/gender/external_genitals.html you will see how similar boy/girl genitals are up until 14-15 wks...so if you do get a guess, I wouldn't go out and buy anything--or, if you do--keep the receipt.

we did the DNA blood test that tells the gender at 12 weeks along with our NT scan. This is not very common and is only done at certain centers throught the country. I've only heard of three places total that offer it at this point in time. We got lucky with where we live...
I was 20w1d when I found it. Generally, people find out at their 20 week ultrasound. But I read that it's possible to find out at 14 weeks but it's just more reliable at 20 weeks, when the parts are more developed.
we were told it was a boy at our u/s at 12wk4d, confirmed at 15wk on 4d u/s. 12 weeks is pretty early, but many people find out before the 20wk mark. i think that's becoming a little antiquated. we found out with our first at 16wks
at around 12 weeks, I had a blood test and found out it is a little girl!
I found this test really interesting - they take a blood sample and look for a Y chromossome in the blood plasma (In addition to the regular chromossomes, human beings have a pair of sexual chromossomes - XX for women and XY for men). If they find it, unless you've had a blood transfusion or organ transplant from a man, it can only com from your baby - a boy. If they don't find it, you're having a girl. It is 99% certain and can be done after the 8th week.
It was way more expensive than the ultrassound (the ultrassound is 150 reais/ 75 dollars and the test was 400 reais/ 200 dollars), but we chose to do it because even if your baby sits in a favorable position during the ultrassounds there is still a great margin for error and we wanted to be as sure as possible, so we could narrow down the name pool
Anyway, it is possible to see the sex at 12 months in the ultrassound but it is really hard. It usually happens around 15 or 16 weeks. At least that is what my OB told me.
They told me at my NT scan at 12weeks 2days that they thought I was having a girl. Today they confirmed it at my appointment (I'm 19weeks and 2days). So happy!
We found out at 19 weeks and 5 days. I wouldn't have wanted them to guess any earlier than that, because I wouldn't want to find out that they'd been wrong and I'd been mentally planning for the wrong sex for weeks! If baby cooperates, you should be able to find out at the anatomy scan.

BFP #3 10/6/12, EDD 6/16/12., Matilda born 6/17/13.
I found out at 15 weeks, it was confirmed at 19 weeks with this LO.
With my last PG I didn't believe the DR until the baby was born. I already had 3 girls so I didn't trust that it was a boy until I saw his parts with my own eyes!

I don't think telling at an actual 12w U/S is that accurate, more of a guess.
Ours was confirmed at our 20w scan.

It is an educated guess at 12 weeks. Around 16wks a bit more accurate, but 18-20wks is the most accurate, and even then they will not guarentee it.
I was told boy at 12 wks and I am having a boy, but I did not start painting the nursery blue till after the 20wk anatomy scan.
Good luck!!

All the best!
I had an emergency u/s at 14 weeks and was told boy it was confirmed at 19 weeks.
I would not rely on any early u/s personally, IMO at that point it's just a guess.
