1. I got the info we needed for LO!
2. SHE is perfect!
3. She is 3 years old and on track with everything!
4. She is AA and has the most adorable little afro!
5. We are moving ahead with the adoption!
6. I wonder if J is freaking out at work over the news.
7. I have no idea how to do AA hair, I'm going to show up on my neighbors porch one day with LO and point to her head and say "Help.....please."
8. Oh wow, this is a big birthday present for A!
9. I wonder when we get to meet her?

Thanks! I started reading that blog last week and emailed her for more detailed info on washing/conditioning/combing since I want to keep her hair curly and not braided all the time.

Advice:
Remember to keep her hair well moistened (oiled) with a good hair cream/oil and brushed all the way to the roots. AA hair is delicate and must be treated with care. If you ever do a perm, be VERY careful and (my own advice) do not use generics. If you cut hair yourself, make sure to treat any place the clippers touch her skin. The rash/bumps that can develop are SO PAINFUL (I made this mistake with my oldest).
