Twin names at hospital

I have no idea where the thread is with the facebok/hospital names, so here are two twin names from my local hospital today:

Donovyn and Devyn 

Hate the spellings!

    Otherwise a perfect sibset! For twin boys i'm hoping, not girls lol

    Who knows. I have seen sometimes where people will name a baby girl Devyn with a Y to make it more feminine, but both these babies were boys.

    It bothers me when parents do that to twins. My cousin had twin girls - Sabrina and Satina. 

    FFS, your twins will already have to share most things with each other, give them their own god damn unique sounding name.

    And yes, I hate the spellings too. Fail.

    Twin names that begin with the same letter don't bother me, but I think that is because my grandma had two sets and did that with their names.

    Valerie (my mom!) and Vanessa

    Karen and Kevin

     

    The idiotic spellings of these two D names bothered me though. It also took me forever to figure out how to say them. I also think they are kind of close sounding, but that could just be me.

    i looooooooove devan. the y isn't awful but not the best. don't like donovyn at all though.

    Ick!  That is way too close. I don't mind somewhat matchy twin names - but that's because I don't mind somewhat matchy sibsets in general. Like using the same initial or the same ending or something. But FFS, don't name twins something you wouldn't name 2 siblings who aren't twins.
