Hello Ladies today is my Clerclage and I am finally getting a little
nervous about it. If anyone of you had one how did you feel when you
came home? What were your restrictions? TIA
Good luck today!! It is a fast procedure so you'll be in and out of the OR in no time. Even though most of the anesthesia wore off by the time they released me, it still felt weird walking the rest of that day. I had my cerclage on a Thursday and took it easy the rest of the week & weekend. I had some cramping & spotting, but nothing unbearable.
Let us know how it goes!

The most recent one (the second ever) I had done took 17 minutes (and that was with an additional stitch added). However, anesthesia wears off me rather slowly so I left several hours after I was wheeled into recovery.
Honestly, you will feel cramping to some degree once the anesthesia wears off but that nothing a little motrin won't soothe (or some docs have you use a prog. suppository).
Other than that, it should be easy breezy. When you get a chance afterward, let us know how you're doing.
Nutmeg, cilantro, sage, mint, thyme... these are a few of my favorite things! We have four children; one left us too soon.
It is not too bad. you will have some spotting, I had some clots too which are normal. try to relax and it will be over before you know it. good luck and let us know how you are doing.
It wasn't so bad. I had some spotting with mild cramps. My doctor had me off work for the following week, so I took that time to just catch up on some rest. The first few days I felt a little strange it was probably more me than the actual cerclage. Good Luck!!
Thank you all so much!! The procedure went really well in the OR for 15 mins but I was at the hospital forever I was to report at 11 with surgery at 1. I went downstairs at 1:30 in the holding room until 2:40 then to the OR and when I woke up in Recovery it was 4:30. Got sent back up to my room to eat and drink and finally left at 6:30. It has been a long day but I am feeling pretty good. A little crampy here and then with a mild headache probably from going almost 24 hours with no food or drink. I really appreciate all the prayers today! They were answered.

So great to learn that all went well. Get some rest mama!
