PPD/PPA Mom...it has been super hard, but I'm making it! Slow steps...

How many days in between do you all wait to start a new solid food? We started DS on oatmeal last Thursday and he loves it and hasn't had any problems w/ it. I want to start a veggie of some kind tomorrow since it is a week later. Should I wait a week all the time or just a few days? Which veggie do you feel is best to start w/? Sweet potatoes, green beans, peas??
Sorry so many questions! :-/
TIA!
Re: How many days do you wait to start a new solid?
We always did and still wait 3 days if we start a new fruit (she has eaten all the veggies now). But the fruits can take a bit to get through!! But remember LO can still eat anything that they have already tried plus the new item (not saying you didnt know this but a mom posted asking about it) Good luck!
We started at 6 months and wait 3-4 days between new foods. We've only gotten through avacado, sweet potato and squash. We're trying peas next (like pp said, I think this may be a tougher sell than the sweeter veggies, but we'll try).
We waited 4-5 days in between all stage 1 fruits and vegetables. My pedi said to start with the green vegetables first, then move to the orange vegetables, so I did. Fruit was the last thing that we gave her.
I waited a week when we started cereal just to get him used to solids before we tried anything else. After that we waited 3-4 days between new foods. We started with squash and did all the orange veggies first. Then we did green veggies followed by fruit. We started meat last week with vegetable turkey dinner. The only thing he didn't like was green beans but he'll eat them if they're mixed with something else.
We EBF and started solids at 6 month too.

I wait a few days, certainly not a week. I would start with the green veggies first, and sometimes it takes a few tries before you can really determine if they like it or not. DS hated peas the first few tries, but now he loves them!
He's had orange slices, apple slices, banana, green pepper, and tomatoes. I'm probably forgetting some other things. Oh, we started at 6 months.
