  • Welcome lduncan83, take it nice and easy!

QOTD - I've been to Mexico twice - once on a school trip where we toured the Youcatan Peninsula/Merida, and Cancun.  The last time was last summer for my honeymoon - it was wonderful because I was able to show my hubby some of my favorite spots.  We loved it, the history, shopping, and the resort!

I've also been to Canada twice - once to Toronto with the marching band in high school - we did some sight seeing, but it was more of a working trip.  The next time was to Newfoundland - not bad, but I was with my grandparents and we stayed in a cabin with 3 TV channels out in the middle of NO WHERE - I was 13, but - looking back, I enjoyed the relaxing lifestyle and the shopping!

  • Today is a milestone for me.  I am 28 weeks 6 days pregnant, this is when I had my older daughter.  Everyday after today is uncharted territory for me.

My mom is here today watching my daughter and helping me clean up. I am lying like the Queen of Sheba while she works.  It is awkward.

I have cervical length check today at 1:00.

QOTD:  My husband and I traveled a lot before we had our daughter.  I can't wait for our kids to be a older so we can travel again. It is great to travel and see different places, but I have never been to a country where I would rather live than the US.

  • Good morning ladies!  I'm hoping for a restful, uneventful day for all of us.

Update:  Doctor's appointment at 1:30pm.  It always makes me nervous because I'm so afraid they will tell me the gig is up.  I breathe a sigh of relief everytime it is over.

QOTD:  I have been to Canada, Mexico, Germany, and Austria.  We went to Germany/Austria for our one year anniversary.  We had an amazing time.  The people were so nice.  We also got to go to Oktoberfest which was a blast.  I  still have many places I want to go in the future including Ireland.

  • Update: Nothing new.  Previously, Dr had told me if I stop bleeding for 2 full days I can move into modified bed rest. Unfortunatly the bleeding hasnt stopped- full bed rest continues.

Question of the Day: We also love to travel and I've been fortunate to get to visit alot of wonderful places. We routinely go to Mexico and Canada (Hubby is from Canada).  I also have loved India, Thailand, England, and many more.  We wanted to do a babymoon to Europe but not sure if thats realistic anymore. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

  • Had my high risk weekly appt today. cervix is same 1cm diated. length is less than 1cm, doc said the leength really doesnt matter at this point. Boy twin weighs 2.3 oz and girl twin is 2.1oz. Does that seem like good weights??? Im 27.3 weeks.  Girl twin has the Velamentous cord insertion so they watch her bllod flow and growth closely. He said her flow is adequate, but not perfect and if she ever starts to lag behind then they would have to take both early. So I pray that they both stay in and continue to grow. So now Im back home back in the bed (where else) LOL. Hope everyone has a great day today:)  Tammy

  • QOTD: I have been to Montreal in college and LOVED it.  I was on the debate team and we had a blast wherever we went.  It reminded me a lot of my hometown.  I also went on a cruise once that took me to Cozumel, Honduras and Columbia.  Most amazing ten days of my life.  I can't wait to go with DH one day.

UPDATES:  I was bad and left the house today.  I went by the office so DD could see my dad and brother for lunch, then I went to my cousin's to get the changing table, and then by my mom's work so I could use the bathroom.  I was gone for almost four hours.  It felt wonderful.  I will get yelled at later, but it was such a pretty day and I felt so GOOD.

  • Question of the Day:
Where have you traveled outside of the country in which you live? What are your thoughts about that place?

Like most of you, my H and I got to travel quite a bit before the kiddies and since the first one, haven't really gone anywhere. I'm not really fond of traveling and leaving them while young, so I suppose we'll just have to wait until they're all a little older.

When I was really young I traveled with my family to England, France and Bermuda. I remember seeing Buckingham Palace, trekking up the Eiffel Tower and visiting the crystal caves on that tiny island. Again, that's all I really remember as it was so long ago.

Other than that, St. Martin was great! We traveled there for our honeymoon at the height of off-peak season (summer). So it was really quiet and it was like we had the entire island to ourselves. I did prefer the French side much better.

More recently, we traveled to Canada near Niagara Falls and had an exceptional time at Niagara-On-The-Lake. It's a nearby tourist attraction with lots of things to do, places to shop and eat.

    I miss traveling!

  • Hi ladies!

QOTD:  DH and I traveled quite a bit in the 10 years we were married before having kids.  We've been to Mexico, Caribbean, Bahamas, and Canada.  But the most amazing place we've ever been to is Australia.  We went for 10 days in 2005 and we fell in LOVE.  Amazing place with really, really nice people.  I would never move from the US but if I did....   I would love to visit Paris, Italy and Ireland one day.  A girl can dream!

Update:  Nothing new.  Liam is moving around a ton today and it's really hurting my cervix today.  I find myself wondering if he's trying to kick his way out or break my water!

  • Welcome lduncan83!!!  Sorry you had to join the club, but as far as crummy clubs to be a part of this is a GREAT one!!

(All: This is my BFF I wrote about the other day :o))

QOTD:  Now that I stop and think about all the places I've been and been able to experience I feel so blessed!  My dad loves to sail so as a kid we took sailing trips to the bahamas, the Brittish Virgin Islands, Belize, and Baja California, Mexico.  I didn't appreciate these experiences as a kid, cause well, I was stuck on a boat for a week with my parents, big brother and baby sister...lame as a kid, but looking back I see how fortunate I was!

lduncan83 and I took a 3 week camping tour of Europe after we graduated from college and went to: England, France, Italy, Germany, Austria, The Netherlands, Switzerland, and Belgium

And after becoming scuba certified DH and I took a trip to Bonaire (south carribean) and last fall we went to Aruba for our babymoon!  Not too shabby for my short 26 years!

Updates:  Had Dr. appt this AM with NO CHANGES!!!  Actually measured better than previous (1.7 today vs 1.4 last week) and still only 1cm dilated.  They said bedrest was working and to keep it up and they'd see me back in two weeks!  So nice to hear!!

Sorry for the long post...when I've got nothing better to do than lay around I guess I get long winded!

My girls weighed 2 lbs 1 oz and 1 lb 14 oz at my 27w2d ultrasound, so your b/g weights sound good to me!

QOTD: During college, I spent several months studying in Nantes, France.  I did some traveling to nearby countries while there but I was pretty broke :)  I have to say that my favorite traveling adventure was to Ukraine -- wonderful and fascinating place!

I traveled a lot growing up because my parents were both in the military. Once we came to CT, I've only been to Jamaica and Canada, mostly Montreal. I've had lots of fun in Montreal!!

  • update: the dr thought it would be a good idea if i came home with my mom with lives about a hour and a half way from where i live for a couple of days so that i dont have to worry about doing anything and will rest. So my mom convinced my dh it would be best for me to come with her because he couldnt take care of me because he has to work. im here with her today has not been a good day. I got out of the shower and almost passed out. I dont know why. the shower wasnt to hot and no pain. Then i needed to go to walmart because none of my shorts fit me and 84 degrees outside and wearing pants i dont think so. we went to walmart and i rode in one of those automatic wheelchairs and was doing good and then i stood up to walk out to the car and the pain and the pressure on my lower abdomen was so bad i almost passed out again. so ive been cramping with some pain even with resting and reclining since then. A month of bedrest is going to kill me. Im used to taking care of everyone else (being a nurse) this is going to be hard
