Natural Birth

36.5 weeks and breech

Last week, after chiropractic and acupuncture treatments - we found out Little Man turned from transverse breech to "ready to go".   We were so so excited - especially since I am hoping to experience HypnoBirthing.

We just checked with our doctor and I found out he's breech again...albeit, he is healthy and doing well (so I feel quite selfish for being bummed he is not in position).  In the big scheme of things - it's a small issue... and we'll continue trying to move him by our chiropractor as well as my OB.

I just feel saddened by the possibility of not experiencing natural childbirth.  Anyone out there in the same situation?  Anyone have LO "turn" close to due date?

  • I hope since LO flipped once, he'll flip again! Come on, little guy! Get into position!

  • Can you see your chiropractor as much as possible?  I would seriously go every other day if it were me!
  • My MW has no problems delivering breech babies, you may still have that option.

    But I hope he turns!!!

I often think about this, because at about 30 weeks, we just switched to a midwife and birth center from an OB with a high C-section rate.  I would hate to have to change again....plus do doctor's even take people this far along?  I can never tell which position LO is in.  One day I think I feel hiccups down in my pelvis, but at the same time, I think I can feel them a bit higher--so confusing!   I also try feeling around and try to feel hat people explain as the butt (firm but more cushiony) and I jsut can't tell....so sometimes I am worried he is transverse, but then I think--he can't be transverse i don't feel him all the way across!  I am also hoping to have a natural, hypnobirthing birth so I can relate.  Good luck!  Maybe if we keep on visualizing our LO's position, it will help :)  can't hurt to try, right?

  • A friend of mine had her baby turn the day she went into labor.  I hope yours does too!
  • i read in ina may gaskin's guide to childbirth that the 'on all fours' position will turn the baby.  she says that it works every time.  might try spending some time like that or at least researching the technique.

    good luck!
