I do it all of the time for naps (have been since LO was about 3 months old). If this makes me a horrible parent then so be it. LO isn't a super roller yet and she certainly isn't close to crawling so I think we're ok for a bit.
If it feels right to you and LO is safe then do it.
Oh and I LEAVE the room *gasp* but check on LO often. We've never had a problem.
I don't think it makes you a horrible parent at all! If you are awake and going to be checking on LO often then I think it's fine. I let my LO sleep in the middle of our king sized bed and on the couch when I'm awake.

I let DD nap on the couch all the time. I do make sure I push the table up against the couch though, in case she does decide to roll so that way she only rolls onto the table which is level to the couch. I only leave the room to go to the bathroom/ get something out of the kitchen though.
If she is on the bed then I will just check on her often. No big deal. Once she starts rolling though, I'll stop doing that.
