If you've had it, what did it look/feel like for you? Did you baby have any symptoms?

I never had any symptoms, so I don't know if I actually had it or not. I treated myself w/ antifungal cream for about a week just to be safe. I actually didn't even know Cooper had it until our pedi showed me the white spots in his mouth at our 4mo appt. The only symptoms he had were the white patches in his mouth and maybe a little bit of fussiness when eating. But I only noticed the fussiness after I had a cause and a reason to look for it.

I've had it a couple of times, usually after high doses of antibiotics. My taste buds swell and hurt. There is also generally a white coating on my tongue and nothing tastes right.

I had it myself (not while nursing). My mouth was white and somewhat painful. I was given an anti-fungal mouthwash that was really icky.

Thankfully, my babies have never had it or transferred it to me. My having it alone was enough...

I have had it, along with DD. My nipples were bright red, like I sun bathed nude and shooting pains. My nips would be stuck to my tank and flakey. It was super painful. DD just had white patches, her pedi said it was a mild case. We were both treated with Nystatin, which did not work. She finally was treated with Diflucan and I was treated with a prescription antifugal plus steriod to counteract my allergic reaction to Nystatin. That still did not work for me, so I bought an antifungal foot cream and did Apple Cidar Vinegar washes, finally that cured it for me. We fought it for a month and a half. I also had to pump during that time and I still used that milk and we did not have a reoccurance of Thrush either.

DD used to get a lot but not since the pediatrician recommended BioGaia probiotic drops. We used nystatin and also rubbed her mouth with sodium bicarbonate.

I had it in my nipples and it was just like alliwalton described.
