The pedi could care less so I guess I will continue to bring it up. She is 20 weeks this Friday. At what point would you ask for additional resources?
I answered below, but Bennett JUST started grabbing things recently. My pedi wasn't too concerned at his 4-month appt and now I think he's right on track. I'd mention it at her next appointment if you are still concerned. And in the meantime work with her to get her to try to reach and grab.
OP, my DS doesn't intentionally reach or grab. At least, I should say, it doesn't seem intentional when he does reach or swat at something. And everyone else's answers worry me a little bit too! I guess I will be working with him more on this skill.

All babies develop different skills at different times. As an example, my LO has no interest in rolling still, and I see a lot of babies his age have been doing that for weeks already. Don't get hung up over the mastery of one specific skill if your LO seems to be developing normally otherwise.

LOL...well, my baby is not rolling or laughing either. So.....she is just really behind on lots of stuff. I try not to worry about it. Hopefully I will be able to talk about with her pediatrician soon.

He reaches and grabs everything in sight. Nothing is safe. My hair is now constantly in a french braid, and the cats are terrorized.
Don't worry just yet. DS started reaching and grabbing practically overnight at around 3.5-4 months. One day he just went for it, and ever since he can't stop.
Both my boys do. One rolls front back to tummy the other doesn't attempt to roll at all. Neither go from tummy to back. They hate being on their stomachs.
Re: Reaching / Grabbing at things
Well......that's concerning.

Yes. He just started within the past month or so, which I was a little worried about. But I wasn't sure he could see past his cheeks.
Now I can't get him to stop grabbing things. He swiped an M&M from me today. I KNEW if I put food in front of him, he'd reach for it!
