Instead of a traditional baby book we're doing one of the first year calendars. I think it will be easier to update so I'd be more likely to keep up on it. Also, I want something that I can do for multiple kids and will be sustainable with a busy life. I like the "visual" aspect/timeline of it, too.
You can buy the paper book with pages to print/add your own photos at home, or you can upload your photos online and then pay to print the book later. Its on the expensive side, but she does lists out her prices vs a Shutterfly service.

I got a Hallmark baby book with Noah's Ark on it (they do have several different patterns)
It isn't really different and unique, but it is very similar to my baby book that my mom filled out. I love it.
