Made it to 28 wks and still counting........

When I had an emergent cerclage placed at 20 weeks it seemed like the 28 week mark was soooooo far away! It's hard to believe that I've made it past 28 weeks. I finally feel like a somewhat "normal" pregnant lady now that I only have to go every 2 weeks for appointments. We also had a growth scan today because I've only gained about 10 pounds (please ladies no flaming). Despite my lack of weight gain, baby girl is right on track and measured 2 pounds 8 ounces (~50 percentile)! 

The rough patch I had surrounding the cerclage (4 hospitalizations in less than 2 weeks) seems to have dissipated and I almost feel like I may make it to the end:)

    Congrats on making it to 28 weeks, I'm sure that is a huge weight off your shoulder! Here's to another 12 uneventful weeks of pregnancy for you!  Keep that little one cooking!

    yay for you!  and yes...28weeks felt like i could breath a litle!  whats' your cervix measureing now?  are you on bedrest?

    I am hoping the time goes fast for me to get to 28 weeks. I had mine placed at 20 1/2 weeks and am at 23 1/2....3 weeks down 4 1/2 to go to get to 28. Next goal 33.

    Great job!  I'm sure you were so happy to see your LO on the growth u/s.  Glad baby is healthy and you've reached this milestone.  It won't be much longer now.

    Thanks for all the well wishes:) Time is moving so quickly! Before we know it we all will have our FULL TERM LO's in our arms.

    I'm not sure what my cervix is measuring. They usually just say, "you still have a good "1" behind the stitch". I tend to focus on those coveted words, "You're closed, stitch feels great." LOL! When the cerclage was placed I measured a 2 and was dilated 1 cm. 

    Luckily, I've been able to avoid bed rest so far since I'm a student and typically sit all day long in front of my computer or in a lecture hall. I just have the typical restrictions; no lifting, sex, exercising, or being on my feet for long periods. My hubby has been good about carrying my bag and when I'm at school my classmates pitch in. All in all, I have no complaints:)

    Congrats! It's a great feeling to hit your milestone goals : ) Mine was 27 weeks (when I delivered my first LO) and once I got there, I felt a huge relief and the weeks since have been much less stressful - hope you are also feeling some stress subside.
