Your chart looks pretty! Big Smile

I am still at work, boo!!!!

I discarded my temps for Sat and Sun because I had a few beers the nights before and my temps skyrocketed. If I didn't discard them then if my temp goes up tomorrow FF won't give me CH's at all for today since they were so high. Flame me if you want to. Oh well.

I had a similar dilemma this weekend.  Take a wild guess what night I drank too much?  Big Smile  But luckily for me, looks like I'm not going to O yet, so it won't affect anything.

It just put a comment box below the chart.  I hadn't even thought about that until you said it!  At least it will let stalkers know what's going on.

Edit: Symptom box, not comment box.

I third this. When are you testing???

  • I choose vent....    :)

I wish my body would produce LH, show me a positive OPK and ovulate already!  I beginning to think this cycle may be anovulatory.  Either that or it's just way delayed (I do have a cold, does that matter?)   I know I'm being impatient but it's my first cycle using OPK so I can't wait for a positive!

Do you test more than once a day?  If not, try doing that.  I did FMU and then again aroudn 4.  You are only CD 24, so don't worry about it being annov yet.

OK here's a noob question. What if you drink every day? Is it bad for the chart?

Don't judge! A little red wine every day is good for your heart! Big Smile

Define drinking everyday?  A glass? 2?  5? A bottle plus?

Say a glass with dinner, maybe a second.

That's fine.  Drinking generally messes with your chart if you drink a lot.

  • I CAN'T seem to tell the difference between "sticky" CM and "creamy" CM. I am in the 2ww, and want to chart it on FF, but I don't really know the difference. TMI, but the CM "looks" creamy, but when I rub my fingers together, it seems "sticky"? Is there a sure way of knowing which is which?

My creamy CM is sticky in that it forms peaks if I put it between my fingers.  However, my creamy is generally very white in color while sticky isn't.  Truth be told, and someone may disagree with me, but charting CM in the 2WW isn't ubber important.

  • So on the FF and TCOYF message boards they talk about inserting Instead cups after sex to help keep sperm close to your cervix.

I see it mentioned a lot on those boards, but never here.

    Has anyone tried it?

I'm intrigued. It seems like it would definitely help keep the sperm up there and give them a better chance. But isn't the belief that the ones that run out are the stupid ones anyway?

  • I'm sure this has been asked a thousand times, but my question is: what determines when it is time to pay a visit to the RE? Is it personal preference, after you've tried unsuccessfully for a year or more, once the OB/GYN suggests it, or something else?

Same here.  I think I'm just afraid I'm going to have another 80-something day cycle again, so I'm impatiently (and irrationally) waiting for a positive OPK!

I may be a little more "strict" than the general population, but here is my take:

It should never be your personal prefernece.  This to me says you are just impatient and impatience =/= a fertility issues.

If you are under 35 and have no known issues (no,PCOS,Endo, MFI etc), you wait a year--with charting.

If you are over 35, have PCOS, Endo then 6 months with charting.

I've never heard of an OB/GYN suggesting it before the year mark or because of another outside factor (age, DX, etc)

Sorry to butt in, but my OB/GYN specializes in endo cases, which I have, and he still wants me to wait a full year, but it probably depends on your doctor.

This withdrawl period you speak of... Is it the last period while on the pill (take pills for 21 days... 7 days of period pills..with a period)  or the cycle after said period?

I just saw someone refer to their first period off the pill a "withdrawl" period... I"ve never heard of this.  But kind of makes sense.  Generally, my first period off the pill is the only anywhere near regular one.  Which kind of stinks cause its that the case I never have regular cycles.  Boo.  But still hoping this one will be real for me :-).

  • Are we still playing? How much POM is enough. I thought I'd try it this cycle and see what happens. The Newbie Link says 8oz a day but there's no way I could drink that much every day (and its $$$)! I've been drinking like 1/3 of a solo cup the past few days (yup, that's my official measurement tool!) - am I just wasting my time if I don't drink 8oz a day?
