Moms With Outside Babies who tested GBS+ During Pregnancy

Just wondering how your labor and delivery went and how your baby is doing? I tested positive for Group B Strep and although I know I have nothing to worry about, I?d like some reassurance. Smile

    I'm currently negative with this guy, but I was positive with DS and it was all just fine.  One IV of antibiotics and he was born without any complications or fever for either of us a few hours later.  It was never even brought up again after he was born.  Just fine!

    I had to have some IV antibiotics during labor, but that wasn't a big deal. Baby and I are both healthy and doing well. :)

    I had absolutely no problems.  Just went through several IV bags of antibiotics (penicillin I believe).  Baby & I are fine.

    I was GBS+, but I got to the hospital too late to have the 2 doses of antibiotics since they are suppose to be 4 hours apart and DD had no problems at all. So don't worry, you should be fine!

    This! Except I ended up with a breast infection but it had nothing to do with GBS +

    Mine went great and LO is perfect!  I actually forgot about the GBS because no one even mentioned anything about it when I was at the hospital.

    All good!  I got the double dose of antibiotics through IV.  GBS+ may have even been a blessing in disguise.. Went in for 5-1-1 contractions and was only 2cm dilated... they had me walk up and down the hall for 2 hours, contrax got MUCH stronger, and I was still only 2.5.  They contemplated sending me home (!!) but since I was GBS+, they admitted me.

    GBS with DS- he is fine. I was given meds while in labor.

    GBS- with DD she is fine as well. I wasn't able to get my meds in like I did with DS because D came too fast. They just did 2 blood draws on her to test if they needed to give her antibiotics and both came back negative. The blood draws were just pricks on her heel.
