38 Week Appt. Update

I officially have pre-e and doc scheduled an induction for Thursday 1:00am. (so technically Wednesday in the middle of the night) DH and I are excited but Induction was not our first choice. We were hoping for more bedrest until I go into labor on my own, but my doctor said having the baby would be best because even the bedrest over the weekend didn't seem to help my BP since it was still up today.

Good thing is my cervix is nice and soft 75% effaced and I am 2 cm dilated. He also said he could feel the baby's head when he checked me. So all good things going into an induction. the plan for the rest of the day today and tomorrow is rest and sleep if I can. I realy need to sleep because we all know I wont be gettin much of that come this weekend.

OMG, I can't believe our baby will be here by this weekend.

    Good luck!!  I'm kind of jealous because we are almost EDD buddies, but happy for you! I hope it goes smoothly!  Keep us posted.  I have my appt Thursday to see if I dialated more so they can do a membrane stripping....ouch!!

    Good luck with the induction! I was induced for the same reason at 38 weeks 1 day and I was similar to you when admitted into L&D 60% effaced, soft cervix and 1.5cm dilated. LO was head down, however his head was transverse so mine ended in c/s after 26 hours of induced labor as he was not ready to come out on his own. I hope everything goes smoothly for you :)
