setting up a CCRM consult

After six failed IVFs (4 fresh, 2 frozen) I'm pretty much at the end of my rope, but want to get a few more RE opinions. I want to set up a phone consult with CCRM.

For those of you who have done so, do you pick a specific doctor to speak to or do they give you one? How far out do they schedule? How far in advance do they need your records? Did you find it useful? Thanks!

do you have losses or just BFN's?
have you had any RPL/Clotting b/w done? any immune testing?
if you haven't had any losses i would also look into immune testing, nk cells. etc. and set up consult with SIRM (m&m finally got KU after 6 failed IVF's by switching to SIRM and adding intralipids to protocol)
For those of you who have done so, do you pick a specific doctor to speak to or do they give you one? I asked for first available and was set up with Dr, Surry, they had to cancel my appt. yesterday and resheduled my consult today with Dr. Schoolcraft
How far out do they schedule? I made appt. in early January and earliest was Feb 14th
How far in advance do they need your records? One week before consult. If you don't get records to them in time it will be rescheduled
Did you find it useful? yes, no new earth-shattering info but am very glad I did it. if you scroll down, my post about it is below

Thanks for the info worms. I have been watching your threads, and that's actually what motivated me to get moving on this.

I have one c/p (from IVF #1), all the rest are BFN's. We always have good quality embryos, but we've had 5 implantation failures. Our only diagnosis is stage IV endo. I've asked my RE about immune testing, intralipids, etc., but he says it's not worthwhile (which I don't agree with). I've also heard about SIRM and would consider cycling there if it seems to be a good fit.

I just asked that they set me up w/ whoever was available first. I'm sure all the Dr.s are great. I think it took me a few weeks to get an appt. And worms is right, you need to get your records to them 1 week beforehand.

I found it useful, although I basically knew what they were going to say (do CGH, do SCSA, do IMSI/PICSI, do integrin-3) b/c they tend to recommend a handful of treatments to most people that they've had great success with. So for me it was just a matter of deciding whether I would/could cycle out there.

I called to set up a consult in mid-Jan & it was scheduled for 3 1/2 weeks later. I asked for first available, but you can request a specific doc. They wanted records 10 days ahead. I definitely think it's worthwhile to get another opinion! Good luck!

Patchen:

Has your RE switched up your protocols? Yes, I've done long lupron and antagonist, and I actually switched REs along the way. Each cycle was different than the last. How do you respond to meds? I respond very well. My first cycle I had 14 embryos (from 18 mature eggs) and my most recent cycle I had 12 embryos (from 14 mature eggs). I've never done a 5dt, but we've always had high quality embryos for transfer, and 3/4 times we had some to freeze. I think that could give some insight as to whether it's egg quality related or a mystery for which the immune stuff would be more relevant. I think so too. I've been considering DE, but I feel like that won't really address my problem.
