Anyone have a belly button ring?

Hi all! I have had this for about five years. Not sure I am ready to take it out yet. I might change my mind, but not as of today. Anyway, if anyone has one or has had one when did you have to take it out? Do you have to? I would assume so, but have to ask! Thanks!

I had one previously and I think I took it out when I was about 6mths prego with DS. I have not ever put it back in but I could if I wanted to, the hole is still there. I remember taking it out because my bump was getting bigger and I worked in a professional environment and it was becoming noticable.

I have one. With my first pregnancy I took it out about 6 months because I was starting to really get a bump and it was just uncomfortable for me. They make flexible retainers that you can wear the entire pregnancy. I put mine back in shortly after delivering my daughter. I've already took it out this time and I'm only 15 weeks but my bump is already making its appearance and I'm more clutsy because I kept getting it snagged on things.

I had one with my first DD. It actuallypushed itself out around 5 months. I should have taken it out sooner, but I wasn't even that big when it pushed through my skin. So obviously I never put it back in after that considering I didn't have a hold anymore!

I had one for almost 6 years when I got pregnant with DD. I ended up having to take it out before 20 weeks. My body started rejecting it and pushing it out. I was going to put it back in after I had her unfortunately the piercing now has two huge hideous stretch marks on both side of the hole. In-fact the hole it's self looks like a stretch mark. The stretch marks are now starting to fade but it just doesn't look the same between the stretch marks and the hole being closer to the surface. My doctor told me I could wear it for my whole pregnancy as long as it was comfortable but it would have to come out before labor. My hospital requires all piercing to be removed before you are completely checked in in case of emergency and you have to have c-section.

I was just going to ask this question. I have mine pierced on the top and bottom.. and i'm definitely not ready to give them up.. 10 years for the top and 1 year for the bottom.

Another question (kinda dumb)- I have the ring and cannot take it off even if I try. I have to clean by sliding it. Anyway, has this happened to anyone else?

Had mine since 2001 and I'm sad to give it up. I don't think I'm going to try to put it back in later. I doubt I'll be confident to show that area! It's in for now, but I'll take it out when it becomes an issue.

If you want it out, most tattoo/piercing places will take it out for you for free. And put it back in when you're ready

I had one when I was younger now I just have the holes

I know there is some kind of stretchy bar you can put in while pregnant that is more comfortable but I can't remember what it is.
