I just went back to work yesterday & LO is home with my hubby. I pump 3 times while I'm at work (8 hrs) and get about 12 ozs or close to that. My LO is taking in 16+ ozs a day while I am away. Luckily I have a freezer stash & am pumping at night too to keep up. Has or is anyone else having this problem of keeping up??

Re: XP: How much BM are your 4 mo olds eating?
Yes, I am pumping about 12 ozs each day at work and at 4 months, LO was eating 15-20 oz. each day! He was eating 3-4 bottles at 5 oz. each. It was really frustrating and a lot of work! Hope things work out for you!
Now that we have introduced more solids, things are evening out more in the bottle department...he rarely, if ever eats the 4th bottle!
I nurse at 630am
I pick her up at 430 pm and nurse her at 5pm or so.
In that time I'm gone, I pump 3 times and get about11-13 oz.
She eats about 3 3.5 oz bottles, so 10.5oz. Sometimes she only eats 9 and other days 12 depending on how her naps fall. We've tried giving her more, and she will not eat it. She has some in her freezer in case DD happens to want more than that in a day.
ETA: Sorry, to answer your question, if I don't drink about 80 oz of water during the workday, I get less milk. Thankfully some days I pump more than needed so I have a little bit of a stash. You could try mother's milk or more milk tea or fenugreek. But make sure you stay hydrated and eat enough calories to keep your milk production up.

DS already eats 32-35 oz a day total (he BFs @ 5:30 am and 7 pm; gets 3 bottles in between). I'm positive my daycare overfeeds him but he's only there PT so it's not too much of a concern (they'll have an 8-oz bottle on his log almost every day in addition to at least 2 other 6-oz bottles, when he'll only do 8 oz once in a blue moon @ home). I pump about 22 oz during the day in 3 sessions and he eats about 18 oz of that for his 3 bottles when he's home w/me.
He's growing up, but he'll always be my baby!
