What are you wearing?

I'm planning a home birth and am starting to think about what I want to wear during labor and birth. I thought of just wearing my comfy yoga pants and a nursing tank, but I kinda care about those items and don't want to have to keep taking off my pants. I've also thought about wearing a skirt, but am afraid I'll be too cold in March. What did you or are you planning on wearing?

Im planning a homebirth too and really havent put much thought into what Ill wear. I figure I have my whole wardrobe at my fingertips- whatever I feel like wearing is what Ill wear.

We just got a free t-shirt at a hockey game that is too big for either of us... and I don't really care if it gets anything on it. So I plan to wear that! I'll have a sports bra on underneath so I may just take off the shirt and wear only the sports bra.

I bought some really thin sleep pants that I'm planning on wearing probably with a tank top. Once I get to the point where I don't want to wear pants I have no plan.

Once you go into active labor you honestly won't care. I labored at home for 8 hours while in active labor and when I wasn't in the shower I was wearing some undies and a big shirt. Later when I was at the hospital I got so hot I just took off my gown and was naked and could care less. I personally would not be wanting to wear any type of pants or have anything remotely tight on my stomach either.

I'm planning a water birth at a birth center. My only thought so far is to get a cute JCrew (my favorite) swimsuit top to wear.

I wore dark blue sweatpants and a black nursing tank. Nothing got on them -- or, well, if something did get on them, the colors were dark enough that it didn't matter.

Why would you have to keep taking off your pants? I only took them off once, right at the end, when my water broke as I started pushing. And then, I was getting in the tub anyway.

Sports bra (maybe an old nursing bra, haven't decided) and a black stretchy skirt or nothing on bottom. I have a light robe I can throw on as well. I'll have a tub so I want to be able to get in and out of it without much effort as far as undressing goes. I'm due at the end of the month, so it'll still be cold here in New England, but I'm not above turning the heat up to 85 if that's what it takes...it's only for a little while Smile

I wore a long shift (that went to my mid thigh) for a while, but the majority of the time I was in the aqua doula or shower naked.

I delivered at the hospital but I wore yoga pants and a tank top (regular bra). My water broke before labor started so I had to keep changing those huge pads (the hospital undies were great for holding them up--they got heavy!). At the end I was in the tub, nude, and got out to push. Didn't put anything on for that!

I delivered DS at the hospital, but labor was such hard work that I was sweating like crazy and was practically tearing off the layers. I brought him forth in his birthday glory arrayed in nothing more than my own birthday suit

I wore something like this (minus the animal print). My water never broke, they broke it after 2 hours of pushing and he came right out.
