Dove sensitive skin bar soap in the tub, and for lotion either the Aveeno cream with the dark blue cap or the Aveeno Baby for Eczema with the light blue cap.
If it's really bad I use Aquafor but that's really hard to spread into the skin so I only use it as a last resort.
Eucerin or aquaphor is what the dr. recommended. He suggested applying it after the bath before fully drying off. We also have a prescription that we can use if it gets really bad.
We use the aveeno baby wash that is for eczema. For a daily moisturizer we use Vanicream. During flare-ups, we moisturize with vanicream and then aquaphor on top of that. I try to use hydrocortisone only if she seems to be scratching quite a bit.
DDs dermatologist recommends Vaseline as a moisturizer since it has the least amount of ingredients. It is greasy, but it works the best for her. Throughout the day I will blot her spots with a wet washcloth and re-apply Vaseline. If you don't use Vaseline, be sure you are using a "scoop" lotion rather than a pump. The pump lotions contain too much water and actually dry out the skin. Also, try to find something without alcohol in it because it will irritate the skin. You can also try using an OTC hydrocortisone cream, put it on before the moisturizer. If the OTC doesn't work you can talk to her pedi and she can prescribe something stronger.
Aveno baby wash, Emocort ointment, and as wacky as this sounds eucalyptus baths.
You drop a few drops of the oil in the tub and give them a bath as usual. I actually noticed this by accident as I was popping a few drops in to clear up some nasal congestion from a cold for Madi and within a few days of doing so her rash started to fade and it is getting less rough and red every day...
