AW...I have a great Hubby
This weekend we had our third and last baby shower (yes, crazy for a 2nd child, but we have tons of friends/family/coworkers that wanted to do this for us). After the shower I put all the stuff away while DH cleaned the entire house. He gets done cleaning and says he needs to run to the store and brought my son with him. Not out of the ordinary, so I didn't think anything of it. I proceed to checking our registry to see what else is needed and see what we will use our giftcards and completion coupon on. When he got home from the store, he told me to use the gift cards up and get whatever I thought we needed; I told him we 'needed' more decor for the walls, more storage baskets, and a nicer bath tub (we were given a used, very cheap, hard plastic one and I wanted a sponge one to fit in the sink) and he said to buy the stuff (really unlike him, he's very frugal, so it was sweet that he was wanting to make me happy).
This morning, DH had my son wake me up and hand me a card and a mini box of chocolates. DH had let him pick these out at the store and they hid them from me. I gave DH his card and some Lindt truffles (his favorite) and told him he'd get the rest of his present tonight. Then DH goes to his closet and pulls out a big box of chocolates and a card for me and said I'd get my other presents later. I get to work and about an hour later I'm called to the receptionist's desk; my DH brought my a dozen roses. He had been so worried about paying for flowers to be delivered b/c he wasn't sure if I'd still be working and it was such a nice surprise to see him this morning. I got to KISS the delivery man and he told me I still have another gift coming later.
I've been at 2cm for over a week, I began spotting/loosing my MP Friday, and I've had contractions for at least two weeks (at one point coming 2 minutes apart, lasting a minute each, but OB told me to try to wait it out b/c they weren't getting stronger and they stopped after 5 hours). I really got my hopes up that I was going to have the baby this weekend and was pretty bummed going to bed last night. I do NOT want to be at work this week! BUT, all this sweetness from my son and DH has made my Monday much more enjoyable.
My son also loved the stuff we got him. I put a little stuffed monkey in a bucket with a bakugan toy, some heart-shaped suckers, and a giant Hershey Kiss. He loved the monkey and bakugan but he'd never seen such a huge Kiss so he was very excited. It always makes me smile to see him so happy.
