Heatbeat at every doctor's appointment?

I'm 14 weeks along and am so anxious for my next appointment. I have heard from some people that their doctor just does a typical check up. Do they also listen for the heartbeat again? We were able to see a jumping baby at 10 weeks 4 days but I still dont have any bump at all. I just need the reassurance that everything is alright. Has anyone else had their doctor's appt after their successful u/s?

Yep. Sometimes you get to be vampired as well.

OP - Have you considered buying a home doppler or renting one? That's an easy way to hear the heartbeat in between appointments, especially now that you're out of the first tri.

we get to hear a HB at every appt from now on, if for some reason they have trouble finding it, then straight over to US. Wednesday is our 16w appt and I can't wait to hear our LO again!

My last pregnancy was the same as stated above, but my new doctor does everything but have me pee in a cup! I'm super excited about it, but also kinda curious why they don't. So, I'm going to ask next week. But, yes, you'll hear the heartbeat every time now.

yep; to a tee... only last a few mins... just remember to pee in the cup last apt i just pee'd in the toilet and when i was done i was like crap.. i needed to pee in the cup. had to drink a bunch of water and try to go again

The same routine every week - I remember it well even from my first

Pee in cup, weigh in, check bloodpressure, hear heartbeat, ask questions, and then schedule the next appt. It's very nice to hear the heartbeat every time your visit - it's reassuring.
