Highlights--Wonderfully warm, sunny weather. Seeing the boy be his little joyous self and squeal in delight at the seals and ocean waves and glass elevator rides at the hotel. Letting him play in the ocean a little bit. (Nervous mommy wouldn't let him get too close... those waves were rough!) Spending time with friends at their fancy schmancy yacht club to watch an amazing airshow of Naval planes flying overhead.
Lowlights--C getting manhandled and shoved around by our friends' 2 year old bruiser. He's never been around babies, but Charlie just started shoving back! Good boy! C threw up in his car seat in the rental car. C also threw up ON ME last night after we landed at Denver and were taxiing to the terminal. Riding home in a bumpy car bra-less was not fun. Thank God I had a sweatshirt to put on. Oh, and when I tried to throw that puky clothes in the washer last night, the machine died. And despite it being really warm back here at home, there's a foot-deep, 5-foot wide snow drift across our driveway that I had to tackle so we could get the truck into the garage. Because Hubby has a man cold.
I am dismayed that my Lowlights list seems longer than the highlights.
Re: Back from Vacation!
Welcome back! Glad you guys had a great time! You had some great weather to have fun in!
Way to go C! Don't let those big kids push you around! Hope you're feeling better!
Just remember the lowlights might seem longer than the highlights but the highlights outweigh the lowlights.

"man cold" - funny!
Glad you got to soak up some sun while you were there. Hope Charlie is feeling better. Welcome back!

Welcome Back! Your highlights sound wonderful.
Are "Man colds" worse than any normal cold? They are in my house. teehehee
Yes, the world stops spinning, dogs stop barking and cats stop meowing when my husband has the sniffles. He believes that medicine only "masks" an illness, so he always refuses to take anything. So he's shuffling around the house in his bathrobe and slippers, unshowered and unshaven, because he has a little sore throat and cough. "I can't be near the baby because I'll make him sick."
Friggin' baby.
Those of you with boys remember this and try so save our girls some grief. lol
The highlights look pretty good, though!
Glad to have you back!
