Couldn't find hb with doppler...

in 1st Trimester

Ticker is a little off I am 9w5d today so I was 9w4d and I know this is early for a doppler but I am still a little nervous.  I have had the hb confirmed twice via u/s so the doctor isn't concerned in the least.  They tried from the outside and the once the doctor checked me she said lets cheat a little and I will push you ute up from the inside so maybe I can get it up past the bone so we can have a listen but it didn't work.

She offered me a doppler visit next week she said I will most def hear it at 10w5d.  I heard my dd at 10w2d or she gave me a script for another u/s to ease my nerves.  Should I just wait for the doppler next week or schedule the u/s for today or tomorrow?  TIA

    I would wait. It's still early. I know it's hard to wait, but if you've seen the h/b on an u/s, you're fine and so is the baby!

    I would wait. I know some people can't find the heartbeat with the doppler until like 12 weeks.

    I would wait! If the doctor confirmed it twice, then I'm sure you/baby are fine.

    I know it's hard to wait, but it's still really early. I had a vaginal u/s at 6 weeks to confirm the pregnancy and we did hear the heartbeat. My next appointment was at  10 weeks and they were able to find the heartbeat almost instantly.

    The first trimester is the hardest/most stressful... But try not to let it get the best of you. It gets better. I promise. Smile

    I would wait.  If you've already had two u/s I'm sure everything is okay.  If you're really nervous, probably go ahead and get the repeat done.

    BFP #1: 01/16/11. EDD 09/27/11. Molar pregnancy discovered at 11w2d. D&C on 03/11/11 at 11w3d. Confirmed complete molar pregnancy 03/28/11. GTN diagnosed 04/11. Started Act-D 05/06/11. FINALLY a negative beta 06/01/11!!! Cleared by oncologist to TTC in mid-October.

    I have zero patience so I would ask for the u/s now.  If it's something you're going to stress about, then you should have it done sooner rather than later.  That being said, I'm surprised your doctor even tried the doppler that early.  Mine won't even try it until 12-13 weeks as it fails to work too often on those that are not that far along.

    Me too.  I have zero patience.  If they offered it and your insurance covers it I would say you might as well, it will calm your worries.  It is early though and I know my dr wouldn't even try to hear the hb with vag u/s because he said it just create anxiety if you can't hear it very good!
