Re: Bed-Rest Mamas Daily Check-In ~ TUESDAY ~
ditto for ordinary days. I had one today and hope to keep it that way for the next 14 weeks!
QOTD: I on the way back from my kitchen water trip I have been known to throw some dishes in the dishwasher and bend down to maybe pick up a piece of grass the dogs have tracked in. I'm pretty good for the most part. I consolidate. Water, dogs out, restroom and food/snack all in one trip.
BLOG
I got out of the hospital on Sunday afternoon. Happy to be home.
QTD: I am just starting my bedrest but the hardest thing for me is not taking care of my daughter. I see her need something and I just want to get up and do it for her.
QOTD: Not at first - I was very good. But as things progressed and my bed rest was not as strict - yes I did. I figured while I was up, why not? Got my own snacks, drink and things like that. Once I pushed laundry down the stairs with my feet.
Update: I'm going to be induced today!!!!! I have to call around three to see if there are beds available - if there are I get to go in. So I should have a baby by tomorrow! So excited!!!!
Congrats on making it this far! Here is hoping they have a bed for you!
QOTD: I scrubbed the toilet the other day Company was coming and DH had put the bowl cleaner in it but hadn't yet scrubbed it.  I really had to use the toilet and I didn't want to waste his efforts ... so I picked up the brush and went to it.

Preemie ID DDs; then DS; then natural M/C; now due 10/17
High risk for pre-term: weekly Makena injections
QOTD: We aren't at our own house, so DH (when he was here) was very good about keeping everything tidy so that we were good guests. I would wipe down the bathroom sink after I washed my hands/brushed my teeth, but that's about it as far as housework goes for me!
ColieM: So excited for you!! Please post pics soon!
Hi Ladies-
Hope everyone is doing well!
QOTD: Yes, I probably do more than I should.....but I have 2 little ones in the house. I put dishes in the dishwasher and clean their plates. I fold the laundry. It is impossible for me to sit and do nothing. We can't afford help 24/7 and with 2 kids under 3.5 years, I have to do what I have to do Just hoping all is well tomorrow at my appointment!

UPDATES: We went for our 34 weeks appt this morning with the MFM, which was a NST and check of the babies' fluid and position. Both babies look great on the NST, but baby girl's fluid is really low, while baby boy's is really high. Her level has been decreasing every week (around 3 last week), and today it was down to 2.2. The MFM said that 2 is the cut off for "deliver now" so we're really close. When that's combined with the fact that she's measuring almost a pound smaller than him, we're close to the point where she'd be better off outside than inside. The MFM thinks we'll deliver the babies in the next week(!!), and is having us come back on Thursday morning for a repeat of today's tests. She told us to come "prepared to be admitted". So, we might be having our babies this week! While it's still a bit early, no one thought we'd make it nearly this far and we're really excited to meet them!
QOTD: I try not to pick up or do much around the house, but from time to time I'll put a few dishes in the dishwasher or something like that while I'm already up to use the bathroom or get water. I try to consolidate any getting up I do, so that I minimize my time on my feet, so I never get up unless I really need to.
HUGE congrats! Good luck
BLOG
I posted about my appt yesterday - cervix closed, it's no longer coated in mucous - who knows why, but OB wasn't too concerned. Also - fetal fibronectin test was negative, so a HUGE sigh of relief!
Congrats to all the new mommas and soon to be mommas being induced this week! Congrats on baking as long as you did
QOTD: I too am on modified bedrest - and do the dishes every other day or so - sometimes I'll do a load or two of laundry, but all is centralized right from my perch on the couch. I try not to go up/down the stairs more than 2 times/day - but its not always easy. I just try to take it super easy if I've been up a bit more one day than another day. Really hoping I get to spend the rest of the time on modified bedrest - I'm way too nervous to return to work!
ColieM and April320: It's so exciting that you'll get to see your babies soon. Wishing you both safe deliveries!
Wanderlust and CMM05: It really is hard when kids are involved.
dorothy&gail: I keep forgetting to mention how cute the avatar in your sig is.
aschleser: HUGE sigh of relief!
Congrats ColieM! That's awesome. Can't wait to hear about the little one!
QOTD: I have been known to make myself a sandwich or grab something needed from another room or tidy up a tiny bit but nothing too bad. Usually on my way to or from the restroom. I use that excuse a lot. My girlfriend (who delivered her son at 27 weeks) was here the other day and every time I got up to do something in conjunction with using the restroom she was like "yeah, right!". She saw right through me, LOL!
Updates: Ordinary, contract-y day around here. Still having about 40-60 a day. 4 more days of bed rest.... counting down.
Good luck to the mamas having babies soon!
QOTD: Yes, I tend to put a load of laundry in, or make a bed every now and then. I have to get up to pee every 30 minutes anyway. I still make dinner most nights, but a lot of that helps relieve stress, so it helps my blood pressure. I am doing a little less and less though because there is a head in my pelvis that makes it impossible to walk.
UPDATES: GREAT appointment today. NO CONTRACTIONS, no irritability, and my bp, while elevated, came down after a while. I am doing another 24 hour urine and they did blood work and am scheduled to go back on Monday, but my dr was thrilled with me. DS took forever to get reactive on the NST, and only moved around for his "favorite" nurse when she came and talked to him. Stubborn and a ladies man already. Thursday is 34 weeks, so my dr is psyched. She says she will be surprised if we go past 37 weeks (like with DD) since my bp is creeping, but for now is happy with me. So I don't have to stay on my side or anything just yet.
It was so nice to wake up in my own bed last night even though i didnt sleep very well.
QOTD: Todays my first day at home on bedrest but Ive already been bad.... While my mom and DH were outside last night i half way made the bed and put a couple of things up. Then got yelled at.
Yeah, I do. I can't help myself! As much as I appreciate H's help, it's not the way I like things done. I'm up getting DS ready for school and when he comes home from school, I cook dinner. H starts work around 530 and doesn't get home until 730 - 800, so I'm home a lot by myself. You do what you gotta do!!
This. I get yelled at too, haha.
