If you switched from NeoSure to Enfacare for discomfort/reflux/whatnot issues, did it make a difference?
Callista frequently writhes/grunts/groans/cries/screams. Cutting back her BM/formula bottles to half mixed BM, half straight BM has helped some but not enough. She doesn't rest well, and I'm worried about erosion.
Am I being a drag-ass by wanting to try Enfacare before reflux meds? Or is Enfacare that different that it's truly worth a try?
Re: NeoSure vs. Enfacare
I did not switch from NeoSure to Enfacare, but we use Enfacare. Keeping in mind that every baby is different, I'm pretty happy with Allie on the Enfacare. She does arch her back and grunt with it, but usually after she's done and only until she gets out a good burp.
I was having similar problems with her when I was feeding her BM (of course it was all fortified) and so we decided to switch to only formula. She's seemed to be a lot better on just formula.
I switched from NeoSure to Enfacare recently because I found little black particles floating in DS's NeoSure. I thought it could be part of the recall, but Abbott assured me that it was not and that the particles were from burnt formula. Totally harmless, blah, blah, blah...but I decided to switch regardless.
Anyway, I switched to Enfamil and have noticed some changes in DS. He's not nearly as gassy and does not cry out in pain when he does have gas (like he used to on NeoSure). He still grunts and strains to pass gas, but I've become so accustomed to that, I just assume that's a trait of his.
Plus, Enfacare is a few cents cheaper, if you're paying out of pocket.
Also, I remember you from NBC!! Congrats on your LO's. They are adorable!
