We're getting a little bit more than expected back from our taxes (yay!). While most will go to bills, I'd like to sock some away for a mini vacay this summer (we haven't been on vacation since our honeymoon). Something drive-able, VERY family-friendly (duh), and not overly expensive (so, not Disney, lol). The girls will be 2 1/2 and 1. Any suggestions? We are about 45 minutes south of Boston, to give you a sense of our location.... Thanks!

Re: Fun Family Get-Aways on the East Coast?
Cape May/Wildwood NJ?
Yes, it's the Jersey shore but it's not like on tv lol. I love Cape May so pretty, and Wildwood has the boardwalk for the kids.
Hershey is fun too! Both would be about 6hrs though which is longer then I would want to be in the car with 3 kids uder 2

Not sure how far you want to drive but the Jersey Shore area, Long Beach Island, Point Pleasant, Ocean City, Wildwood, and Cape May are great for families.
You can rent a house for a week at any of those location. If you want to check that out, let me know I can send you some links to places we have rented from (realtors and private ones)
I would say out of all those Long Beach Island is my favorite. Ava would love Fanasty Island!
I agree w/ this! I'm spoiled, b/c DH's family has a summer home on the Cape, so we don't have to worry about lodging. But if you could rent a place for a decent price, simply being on or close to the beach is divine...and there are certainly things to do w/ kids, though we have yet to take advantage b/c Cal was only 19 months when we were there last, so didn't require much outside entertainment, you know?
LO #1 - 1 unmedicated/self-monitored IUI w/ donor sperm.
LO #2 - 1 m/c, 2 BFNs, 4th IUI worked (unmedicated/self-monitored with new donor sperm).
Life is beautiful!
We LOVE the cape...are planning on going (we are driving up from Fla for the month of July). We usually stay in Chatham or Harwich..I would aso suggest Goose Rocks Beach,ME. Which is right outside of Kennybunkport/Biddiford area. So not that far for a weekend trip. From Boston it's about 2 hours w/o traffic at the Hampton Tolls! Anyway, it's were I used to summer when I was a kid. The water is freezing but the beach there is lovely and the whole place is super Kid friendly..
