My birth story

My LO finally arrived last Tuesday 2/8 one day before his due date. My water broke at 10:30 pm on 2/7, it was a very interesting feeling and I swear I actually heard a pop when it broke. DH and I arrived at the hospital at about midnight and I was only dilated to 2 cm. I labored on my own until 4:30 when they started pitocin, I was at 4 cm by this point and having tons of back labor. At 5:30 I asked for my epidural, unfortunately it wore off around 11:00 so they came and injected something else straight into the line. I was fully dilated at 12:30 and started pushing at 1:00. After 14 hours of labor including 2 hours of pushing Seamus Christopher made his debut. 7 lb 6 oz 20 in and completely perfect. I did have to have an episiotomy and they had to use suction to get him out, and I have to say that it was all totally worth it. Good luck to everyone who still has inside babies. Don't be nervous it's easier than you think it's going to be. Smile
