I need your design expertise for the nursery! I am doing light blue walls with red accents. Our nursery furniture is white. But I'm totally stumped about what color to get for the glider. I don't want to do white -- I think it will get dirty too easily and my husband is already complaining about potential white overload.
I was thinking grey might be a nice accent with the blue, but I have a brownish carpet, so that won't work. I'm thinking because of the carpet, my only option is a dark brown glider (if we don't do white). Would that look weird to have a dark brown glider with an otherwise light nursery (light blue/red walls, white furniture). I was thinking I could also do some other dark brown accents throughout the room to tie it all together, but not sure if that would be overkill...
Re: Design help!
Dark brown would probably be fine. I can see why you definitely would not want to do white - maybe some pillows, pics/art or bedding with brown in it?
Or - is there a navy/denim option?
It seems like the colors on the gliders are often limited.
There is a navy option. I guess navy might go better with light blue/red than a dark brown? Ack, I just can't decide!
Msmarsh - Unfortunately, no patterns in the glider I really like. I agree though, a light blue pattern would be perfect!
