I'm AWing my DH

He's such a sweetheart! When I got home from work today the house was cleaned (living room vacuumed, dishes done...) and he had a fancy table set up in the living room with roses, wine glasses, and candles. I don't know what he's cooking, since he's banished me upstairs until it's finished, but it sure smells yummy! What a good Valentine's Day surprise. I have a good DH. I think I'll keep him!

Edit to Update:

Tonight's menu:

Chicken Cordon Bleu, Baked Potatoes, Apple slices, and milk (my favorite drink these days) served in wine glasses with chocolate covered strawberries for dessert.

Re: I'm AWing my DH

  • Seriously we are living parallel lives!  My husband did exactly the same thing and is busy cooking dinner as we speak!  Enjoy your vday surprise!

  • Lol ok so my husband isn't so romantic but with two kids, one on the way, and us both working full time, plus me trying to go back to school he did the best thing I could ever imagine. He went... grocery shopping.. bought all we needed for the week... cooked me a simple dinner Sunday and gave my donuts, which I have been craving horribly!  Not so much wine and dine but the simple things in life that make him so special to me. lol Happy Valentines day everyone

  • Awww....what a good H! He and I must think alike--I make chicken cordone bleu also :) I served it with Asparagus in Balsamic Butter sauce, and salad--and I just made chocolate covered strawberries :)

H surprised me and had a dozen red roses delivered to me at home, and he also had a cute fuzzy monkey with a candy bar delivered for DS :)

  • Awww!! That so sweet! I hope everyone had a nice Valentines day!! :)
  • That is really sweet and probably exactly what you needed that day. So thoughtful!!! My DH and I had pledged not to get each other presents and he came home with a pregnancy pillow (no idea when he had the time to go and get that!) because he was worried i wasn't sleeping well. He tried to explain it was a 'necessity' and that it didn't count but it still made my heart melt!
